(Applied in Portuguese legislation)
WHAT IS THE TWO-DIMENSIONAL BARCODE (QR CODE)?

Invoices and transport documents, receipts and any other documents issued, regardless of their designation, which may be presented to the client and which make it possible to check goods or provide services.

WHICH COMPANIES/ORGANIZATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE FISCALLY RELEVANT DOCUMENTS THAT CONTAIN THE QR CODE?
The QR Code must be included in invoices and other fiscally relevant documents, issued by programs certified by the Tax Authority, even if its use is by choice, not being relevant the nature of its issuer.

No. The QR Code must be included in invoices and other fiscally relevant documents issued by programs certified by the Tax Authority.

ARE THERE FORMALITIES FOR HOW THE QR CODE SHOULD APPEAR ON THE DOCUMENTS?
The QR Code must be visible and perfectly legible on the first or last page of the document. In order to ensure its readability, it must not appear close to the document's boundaries, so as to prevent it from being displayed by any printer anomaly.
