Labor market: The unpredictable and renewed concept image
The renovation is already going! Long gone the times when someone remained at the same work place doing the same thing during all their career. The changing velocity is accompanied for technological innovation that we´re we are inserted, being the automation and the computation the main responsible. Many jobs required in the future, are not born yet, and they will appear depending on the society´s needs, fearing, however, the job offer for all, justified by the constant appearance of machines and Artificial intelligence (AI) on the enterprises. To respond to this obstacle, we need to adapt to the required capabilities. Therefore, betting on the acquisition or reinforcement of information and technological skills is something to take into account. Studies realized by Google, found that, sometimes, trained and specialized employees, weren´t the most productive and “valuable” persons, but yes the employees with solid values (soft-skills). These adapt to company surroundings, achieving that soft-skills capacities overlap with the intrinsic ones “Hard-skills” (static knowledge). The most valued skills, in this moment, are creativity, etic values and the aptitude to work as a team. Just because we are talking in competences, we should think in bet and valorise knowledge that are not replaced by robotization, proving their knowledge and, consequently, justifying the machines incompatibility in the face of human capacities. Computer-related functions, sales & marketing, services and hospitality (tourism) are the ones that have been developing more, lately. There are activity sectors that have registered more employability, like human resources, real estate, construction, right areas related to data protection. The complexity and the globalization of business has led to the need for accounting harmonization between countries, increasing contacts on a global scale. Lately, the accountants cross-big challenges, being necessary, constant adaptation to the company surroundings (companies, market, work, clients), so that their capacities can be extended to the learning of new required skills. The actual trend indicates a decrease in the entry of young accountants. That way, due to the scarcity of supply, and the constant accounting demand, wage values tend to increase. However it´s necessary that the “new” accountant follow the innovative evolution that affects this area. For this, it´s essential that we knows how to work in the current era of informatization, since, today, in this job practically everything is done in digital world, since the contacts that we provide to the general account. The accountant need to update and refresh their capacities in order to be well succeed in the new work world.
